I’m bored! Nothing like participating in your own Free for all Friday!
Ok, maybe there hasn’t been many participants lately. Still …
- My biggest regret so far is … not being able to look ahead. I’m always looking back towards the past, be it the recent past, or old history. Fact is, I may be looking ahead, but half my attention is directed towards the back. It’s good in a way, to look back at the past, but only if it’s in retrospect and where some learning points can be derived from it. Otherwise, it’s just a not productive, and much less healthy, to keep doing it. Maybe it’s because I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s just so dim, and it’s so much easier looking back and seeing the bright light of the past, despite the fact that it’s only imaginery. I guess I have to start to get used to feeling my way around in the dark.
- the best thing that has happened to me – friends. That’s what keeps me going right now. It has been, ever since my polytechnic days, and I’m very glad that it hasn’t changed since. The old friends and the new friends. Everyone is busy with their own thing nowadays, but whenever we manage to meet up, for celebrations, or catching-up, it’s always a pleasure.
- Well, in the next 6 months, I hope to see myself in the same job!
I want to keep this job for at least more than a year, compared to what I’ve “achieved” before. Besides, I’d say that the work environment is pretty good too. As for the work load, it’s managable right now, so all is well. In the next year, I hope to make another big trip, for 2007. Possible destinations would be South Africa, Mt Kilimanjaru, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan or maybe the Trans-Siberian Railway. Beyond one year? If all goes well and according to plan, I hope to be able to have a new environment, a new life and a new beginning.
Phew, that was long.
